New Year Celebration drinks - champagne is traditional, but what else to drink

We are sure that it is really impossible to imagine a New Year's party without clinking of glasses full of champagne. Only champagne? Or shall we fill our glasses with something else?
If you are planning to have a really happening New Year party you must think about the delightful drinks you will serve to your guests. New Year’s is the perfect time to celebrate and revel like there is no tomorrow. It is one of those occasions when drinks flow freely. No other drink seems better suited to the celebration than Champagne. But some people prefer wine, vodka or some unusual cocktails, while others go without alcohol altogether, enjoying juices, lemonades and other non-alcoholic cocktails. Below we share some interesting recipes of the most loved alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic drinks that can be served at your New Year's party.
Non-alcoholic drinks

Citrus Wassail

Ingredients: 8 cups unsweetened Apple Juice; 2 cups unsweetened Pineapple Juice; 2 cups Orange Juice; ½ cup Lemon Juice; ¼ cup Sugar; 1 tsp ground Spice Cinnamon; ½ tsp ground Cloves.

Directions

• Place all the ingredients in a Dutch oven and bring them to a boil.
• Remove the lid and simmer the mixture on low heat, for about 10-15 minutes.
• Remove from heat and serve warm.

Pomegranate Party Punch

Ingredients: 8 cups of lemon-lime flavoured carbonated drink; 1 and ½ cups Pomegranate Juice; ¼ cup sugar; 2 oranges, sliced thinly; ½ cup of pomegranate seeds; 4 cups of ice; Garnish: fresh mint.

Directions

• In a large bowl or pitcher mix the carbonated drink with the Pomegranate juice and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
• Add the orange slices, pomegranate seeds and mix again.
• Right before serving add the ice.
• At the last minute add the mint, it will over-power your drink if you add it too soon. Stir.



Alcoholic drinks

Rum Punch

Ingredients: 8 cups Guava Nectar; 6 cups Pineapple Juice; 1 cup fresh Lime Juice; 2 cups Coconut Cream; 3 cups Malibu Rum.

Directions
• Combine guava nectar, pineapple juice, fresh lime juice, coconut cream, and Malibu rum in a large punch bowl. Stir thoroughly.
• Fill punch glasses with ice cubes.
• Pour the punch over the ice and top with tropical fruits or herbs.
• Your rum punch is ready to serve.

Orange Sparkler

Ingredients: 1 tbsp. Cointreau, Triple Sec or other orange liqueur; ¾ c. sparkling wine (such as Prosecco or cava); 1 orange twist.

Directions

Pour the orange liqueur into a flute. Top with the wine and garnish with the twist.
