Related to mulberries, che fruit are also known as Asian mulberries. These seedless fruit are semi-firm with a watermelon-like sweetness. They are most known for straight, out-of-hand eating, but are also well-suited in smoothies, sliced and stirred into lemonade, tossed into green salads, or used as a topping over ice cream. This rare Asian fruit insists upon being picked by hand at peak ripeness, which we do here in southern Maryland!
