These sweethearts are a perfect easy meal:
Halved and steamed until almost done, then painted with butter/oil, honey/maple syrup, lemon juice, and pinch of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and/or allspice...
Or stuffed with many a kind of stuffing (rice/bean/celery/basil tomato sauce)...
and baked, skin down, for 10 or so minutes. Voila!
Of course, you can also forgo the steaming (that simply cooks them a little faster), and bake them longer.
