Our growing season is not long enough to mature kiwi fruit on the vine, but it is long enough to harvest kiwis before freezing temperatures and mature off-vine. You will therefore receive these hard or semi-hard. Simply place them on your countertop to ripen. The ripening process would be expedited if kiwis were placed within a paper bag with an apple, pear, or banana. You should expect them to ripen within one to four weeks in this way (depending on duration since mid-November harvest). Local kiwis are quite the treat for sure, and a potent source of vitamin C in preparation for the winter!
