What is a goldenberry? These small, Andean berries are similar to ground cherries. They grow in light husks (like tomatillos). The dried berries have the husks removed and a chewy texture like many dried fruits. These delightful fruits are both tart and sweet, they are rich in vitamins and high in fiber. They are a great snack to munch on by themselves, or fantastic to add to trail mix. Try them on their own or mixed with nuts, seeds and chocolate. Sprinkle a few on top of your favorite salad or add to your cheese platters for a little flair.
These are items we usually have that are perfect for holiday--or any occasion--gift giving. We work hard to provide sustainable, regenerative options for those who enjoy selecting gifts for loved ones. We hope you consider local producers when you have a gift-giving opportunity.
