Born in Namibia, grown up in Germany, always had a passion for agriculture. He learned, practised and studied organic and bio-dynamic (Demeter) mixed farming in Germany completing his university degree in 1997.
He returned the same year to Southern Africa and worked from 2003 on for an international organic certification body as certification officer and joined TopQualiTea SA in 2009. As shareholder of the company he is managing the export of rooibos and honeybush tea, herbs and spices and supports in many respects supplying small scale farmers' cooperatives.
